Eating dinner at eleven o'clock at night can leave a person exhausted. Yesterday I went to my first hockey game. I knew there would be voilence, but nothing prepared me for the huge wack every time the players were hit in the head with one of the sticks. Or when they skated right into the glass. Or when a player got mad and shoved the guy with the puck into the wall. It was very exciting.
I remember when I used to believe that football was the most voilent sport...that was 16 hours and 22 minutes ago. I counted. actually now it was 16 hours and 21 minutes ago.
I went to the game to perform a karate demonstration. It was insane. We went up right before the last quarter of the game started. before we went on we went onto a room. we were told the tempature would drop maybe twenty degrees, so we had to warm up. there were probably twenty or thirty of us performing.
all of us began to hop up and down to get warm.
it wasn't long before about fifteen of us began chanting "Let the body's hit the floor!" we attracted a lot of stares. evenually we were told by an instructor to shut up. around five minutes later we started singing
"We all live in a Yellow submarine" this did not last long either. A guy in a black suit came along and brought us down stairs on the elevator...all of us...on one trip. that was the most crowded and noisy ride I think I have ever been on.
by the time Tim and I got home, it was ten-thirty. we ate dinner at eleven. by the time I fell asleep it was about 12 A.M. I had an incredibly good time. and now I am ready to pass out in my bed...and possibly do this same thing again.
