Fireworks are cool. I am so glad it's Summer.

Why Auburn celebrates the fourth of July on June 30th is a mystery to me. It could be worse of course. A few years ago the town celebration was on June 28. THAT was a little peculiar. But anyway the fireworks are fun to watch. Heck, it's an entire half-hour of watching colorful explisions!

Two of my cousins, and my Aunt and Uncle came down to watch with us. At the town celebration there's always several tents filled with stuff people like to sell. Tim and I like to go and look at everything. I think window shopping is much more fun than regular shopping.

There are also games to play. I entered a pie eating contest and one a ribbon that says 'Honorable Mention' for finishing my pie two minutes after the contest ended XD.
My friend and I also won a first place ribbon for a balloon toss. Our water balloon survived an extra 20 seconds!

Not only does the celebration have games, but this year they had carnival rides! I spent three dollars on one ticket for a five-minute ride. Yes, it was quite expensive. I'm still trying to figure out if it was worth it...?

The fireworks were fantastic though.
